This repository contains the R code supporting the Rise learning module “Getting started with census microdata”, developed by the UK Data Service. The materials are designed to help learners and researchers build confidence working with UK Census microdata using R, from initial data exploration through to basic statistical modelling.
This repository includes:
- A Quarto (.qmd) page presenting the full R script used in the activity
- Reproducible R code
- Clear sectioning aligned with the learning activity structure
Note: The code is displayed for reference in the Quarto page. It does not run directly within the rendered page and is intended to be copied and run locally in R/RStudio.
The analysis uses the 2021 Census Microdata Teaching Sample (Open Access), England and Wales, provided by the UK Data Service. For data citation use the below reference:
