What this repo is

This is the product repo for TaskChad. It houses:

• The agency site (site/) — Next.js 15 app deployed to taskchad.com
• Vertical skill packs (templates/) — drop-in personas + workflows for HVAC, dental, auto shops, insurance, restaurants, and more. Pair with the framework to spin up an AI employee tuned to your industry in minutes.
• Public roadmap (ROADMAP.md) — what's shipped, what's next, what's not on the menu.
• Changelog (CHANGELOG.md) — every shipped version, vertical pack, and integration.
• Archive (archive/) — earlier TaskChad iterations preserved for history.

What this repo is NOT:

• ❌ The framework code itself (that lives at thehomie-framework)
• ❌ Your customer data (it never leaves your machine)

Vertical skill packs

Each pack is a folder under templates/ with:

• persona.md — system prompt + voice + tone for the vertical
• qualifying-questions.md — what the agent asks
• integrations.md — which CRM / scheduling / dispatch tools the pack wires into
• metrics.md — what success looks like for that vertical

Current packs (scaffolds — full content drops in v2026.6.x):

• templates/hvac/ — HVAC + plumbing dispatcher
• templates/dental/ — Dental office front desk + booking
• templates/auto-shop/ — Auto repair + service estimate intake
• templates/insurance/ — Insurance lead qualification + cancellation recovery

Contribute a pack: open a PR with a new folder under templates/[vertical]/. Every accepted pack gets a credit in the next changelog + a backlink from taskchad.com.

Get started

You have three paths.

Self-host (free, MIT):

Who built this

Pedro Mendoza. Operator and builder. Runs a small business that lives and dies by phone calls. Built TaskChad inside his own shop before he sold a single agent to anyone else.

The framework is built on what Pedro uses every day for his own work — multi-persona Cabinet, heartbeat checks, weekly synthesis, multi-channel messaging. Same code, productized.
