🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18+
• MetaMask or compatible Web3 wallet
• Sepolia PYUSD for payments (min 0.05 PYUSD)

Installation

1. Clone the repository

   git clone https://github.com/murrlincoln/settlement-search.git
   cd settlement-search

2. Install dependencies

   npm run install:all

3. Configure environment

   cp .env.example .env
   # Edit .env with your API keys and configuration

4. Get API Keys

   • Exa API - Neural search
   • Perplexity API - AI search
   • Brave Search API - Web search
   • Tavily API - LLM search
   • OpenAI API - GPT-4o summaries
   • Resend API - Email notifications (optional)

5. Configure Wallet

   • Set your BUSINESS_WALLET_ADDRESS in .env
   • This wallet will receive PYUSD payments

Development

# Start both backend and frontend
npm run dev

# Or run separately:
npm run dev:backend  # Backend on http://localhost:3001
npm run dev:client   # Frontend on http://localhost:8080

Production

npm run build
npm start

💰 x402 Payments

Settlement Search uses the x402 protocol for instant micropayments:

• Base Price: $0.05 PYUSD per search
• Scheduled Search: +$0.05 (execute search at specific time)
• Email Notification: +$0.05 (get results via email)
• Maximum Price: $0.15 PYUSD (all features)

Payment Flow

1. Connect your wallet (MetaMask)
2. Authenticate with SIWE
3. Make a search request
4. Sign payment transaction (handled automatically by x402-axios)
5. Receive instant results

📖 Usage

Immediate Search

1. Connect wallet and authenticate
2. Enter your search query
3. Click "Search Now ($0.05)"
4. Approve payment in wallet
5. View AI-generated summary and sources

Scheduled Search

1. Check "Schedule for later"
2. Select date/time (min 5 minutes future)
3. Optionally add email for notifications
4. Click "Schedule Search ($0.10-$0.15)"
5. Results will be processed automatically

Query Management

• Pending: View and cancel scheduled queries
• History: Browse past search results
