Choose Collaboration Platform

What follows is a list of known narrative collaboration systems, as well as example projects where possible:

• Github.com Our default for now.
  Used extensively by designers and other non-programmers at opensourcedesign.net. Repo at https://github.com/opensourcedesign/opensourcedesign.net
• Twinery A browser-based, open-source CMS for telling nonlinear stories.
• NARROWS One narrator. Multiple characters submit reactions and share their plans and inner thoughts with the storyteller.
• Riot.im Open-source GUI equivalent to Slack and IRC. See current discussion group at: https://riot.im/app/#/room/#rosecode:matrix.org
• Slack.com May be a better choice in the long run, since unlike Riot IM, it allows collaborative editing and commenting for documents.
• Fan-run fiction sites:
  https://archiveofourown.org/
  http://fanfiction.net These lack the ability to fork projects, contribute to existing work, or merge/pull requests.
• Legal resources: http://www.transformativeworks.org/

For now, the default collaboration platforms are Github (narrative/timelines/image and story libraries) and Riot (real-time chat and discussion). We are open to introducing alternatives, but view this should be done in an intentional way.
