Summary

The point-source pairing guide (scripts/guides/point_source_pairing.py) — companion to PyAutoLabs/PyAutoLens#586 (issue PyAutoLabs/PyAutoLens#585). Documents the two failure modes (over/under-prediction), the three pairing schemes, the unmatched_model_policy choices and the demagnified-central convention, solver settings that masquerade as physics (grid resolution vs missed images, with the fresh cluster profiling numbers), and the source-plane vs image-plane chi² trade-off incl. the precision-floor caveat — ending with the "search source-plane, validate image-plane" workflow the Lenstool example follows. Runnable demonstration with exact numbers for all three cases.

  • Added: scripts/guides/point_source_pairing.py (+ navigator catalogue regen).
