What

Three doctrine moves from the 2026-07-09 pre-handoff review program, encoding Fable-session judgment where Opus/Sonnet/Codex will consume it:

1. Cash in the autonomy calibration log (AUTONOMY.md)

  • 59 rows, 2026-07-08→09: zero rejected; 26 merged (23 unchanged, 3 amended — all human-directed scope additions). Human ship sign-off added no delta in 23/26 merged supervised runs.
  • feature/docs caps raised to safe at Difficulty ≤ medium (infer_autonomy already marks large/multi-repo/risky prompts supervised, so the cap was the binding clamp); bug stays supervised (too few rows).
  • Formal graduation/demotion rule: ≥10 clean rows to raise, any rejected demotes immediately.
  • Calibration review recorded in the log section; sizing substrate carries a calibration-status note.
  • intake AGENTS.md: too-large means decompose, never dispatch.

2. Operational distillation (skills/OPERATIONS.md, new + review faculty rubric)

  • Canonical operational-gotchas page: gh CLI fallbacks (SSH-remote pr create, broken issue close, Projects-classic pr edit), CRLF/binary-leak diff hygiene, env_vars.yaml / PYAUTO_TEST_MODE / autoconf-lowercasing / output.yaml-mirroring config traps, JAX measurement traps (pure_callback const-fold, closure cache-bust). Previously these lived only in one agent's session memory.
  • Review faculty gains a recurring-defect rubric (silent None-guards, JAX in library unit tests, misplaced guard tests, grown smoke lists, dishonest JAX benchmarks, workspace-ship hygiene, env mutation).
  • Ship references point at the gh api fallbacks.

3. Consume Heart's STALE freshness tier (companion to PyAutoLabs/PyAutoHeart#43)

  • Dev-ship leg 4 passes on GREEN or STALE (evidence gaps are organism-scope; stale reasons listed in the PR body); YELLOW ack semantics unchanged; releases still require GREEN. Vitals faculty docs updated; degrades gracefully against a Heart without the tier.

Validation

  • Doc-diff review: links resolve, single-source rule respected (tables only in AUTONOMY.md; skills/faculties link)
  • 227-test Heart suite green on the companion PR
  • Human review + merge (merge order: PyAutoHeart#43 first is cleanest, but nothing breaks either way — the tier is additive)

- AUTONOMY.md: raise feature/docs caps to safe at Difficulty <= medium,
citing the 2026-07-09 calibration review (59 rows, 0 rejected); add the
formal graduation/demotion rule; record the review.
- intake AGENTS.md: too-large means decompose, never dispatch.
- sizing substrate: calibration-status note (heuristics held; cap was the
  binding clamp).
- skills/OPERATIONS.md (new): canonical operational gotchas — gh CLI
fallbacks, diff hygiene, config/env traps, JAX measurement traps —
distilled from session memory so Codex and fresh sessions inherit them.
- review faculty: recurring-defect rubric (organism-specific findings list).
- ship_library/ship_workspace references: point at the gh api fallbacks.
