• KPI calculation: after each simulation run, financial and energy KPIs (CAPEX, OPEX, Net Present Value, energy breakdown) are calculated and embedded in the output ESDL
• Configurable KPI parameters: system_lifetime (years) and discount_rate (%) can be passed via workflow_config; defaults are used with a warning when absent
• MESIDO compatibility: round_up_replacement config parameter allows disabling replacement rounding for optimizer compatibility
• Debug ESDL output: set debug_esdl: true in workflow_config to save input and output ESDL files for inspection
