Sigh, this broke mlt build (log here). Lack of trying out? Anyway, mlt blocks some popular apps (krita, kdenlive).

Support for ffmpeg is reportedly added in mlt 7.34.0, but I'm not sure about keeping to roll more and more updates when we're about to release stable within days.

K900 said the mlt update should be pretty safe and did that in PR #463955
