Installing/Building Inselect

The following pages give instructions on installing the correct version of Inselect and any known issues specific to an operating system. We have given some system requirements but not that we have undertaken limited testing outside of the (virtual) machines available to us.

Installing on Mac

A pre-built version of Inselect can be downloaded from the releases page using a .dmg file.

System requirements

• OS X v10.10 Yosemite (older versions tested on OS X v10.9 Mavericks)
• minimum 4GB RAM (depending on image size)

Installing on Windows

A pre-built Windows installer of Inselect can be downloaded from the releases page using the respective .msi file. Note that you will need to download the right version depending on whether you have a 32-bit (win32.msi file) or 64-bit (amd64.msi file) version of windows. If you are unsure see the Microsoft help page to determine which version you have.

System requirements

• 64-bit Windows 7 or later
• minimum 4GB RAM (depending on image size)
• Note: We do not officially support 32-bit Windows due to limitations in OpenCV!
