Chilloo

The chilloo is a new fluffy mob that lives in cold places, this funny looking reptile is the perfect companion for any winter loving person!

In game

Chilloos can be tamed with Truffles and like any other pet animal, once tamed they will follow their owner and respect their commands. They don't have any collars that can be dyed, instead you can change the color of their little tail bands! Isn't that adorable? Chilloos are afraid of all Fox types, but only Artic Foxes are a threat to them. They can hold items in their mouth (if tamed click on them with an empty hand to retrieve their item!) and will actively go look for any items left on the ground unsupervised (besides Chilloo Feathers , this change was made to make shearing them less painful). If the chilloo is holding any Food Item, given a bit of time they will consume it, while if it's holding a Non Food Item they will gladly swap it out for any Food Item they see on the floor. Tamed chilloos can be healed with Truffles, they can be bred with Potatoes, Beetroots and Carrots, annd they drop a couple of their feathers upon death.

In the mod, chiloos have two main uses:

- Shearing

Any adult chilloo can be right-clicked with Shears(or any item in the #c:shears item tag if on fabric), when sheared they will drop a random number of Chilloo Feathers that goes from 2 to 7. Sheared chilloos will randomly grow back their feathers after 4200 in game ticks. Sheared chilloos will start shivering in cold biomes, while chiloos that still have their coat of feathers will start sweating in warm biomes!

- Farming

Chilloos have a random chance of digging up items from the ground when on dirt-like blocks(any block under the #minecraft:dirt block tag). The items that can be dug up by chilloos are:

• Beetroots
• Potatoes
• Poisonous Potatoes
• Carrots
• Frozen Truffles

Pro-tip: to get your first truffles from a wild chilloo, toss at them a Food Item when they dig up a Frozen Truffle and they will swap the two items up, as they cannot eat them.

Spawning

Wild chilloos can be found in Snowy Plains and Snowy Taigas forming little herds that go from 2 to 6 of them.
