What's new
Explore
A new Explore page replaces the previous landing screen. It shows:
- Your result counts at a glance: total, elevated risk, reduced risk, neutral
- Largest elevated and protective effect sizes in your results, the findings that stand out most
- Based on your health history: results filtered to conditions you have added in Personalization, grouped by condition with paging
- A random result discovery card to surface findings you might not have looked at yet
Browse (renamed from Explore)
The study search and filter tool is now called Browse. It has the same search, filter, and sort capabilities as before, plus:
- Heatmap: a visual overview of how your results distribute across traits and categories
- Inline AI analysis on individual study pages, so you can ask the AI to interpret a specific result in the context of your data
- PubMed abstract panel on study pages, which fetches the published abstract so you can read the source without leaving the app
- "Continue in DNA Chat" button on study pages, which opens Chat with the study pre-loaded as context
Analyze reports
The Analyze tab now has four distinct reports:

| Health Insights | Free | Selects the most relevant genetic associations based on your personal and family health history and identifies the biological mechanisms that may be involved. |
| Healthspan | Premium | Organizes your results by domain: cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, immune, musculoskeletal, cancer susceptibility. Finds patterns within and across domains. |
| Top Traits | Premium | Takes your 100 strongest associations by effect size and explains what they reveal about your biology. A good starting point if you have not added health history yet. |
| Comprehensive Overview | Premium | Analyzes all saved results across all categories. Experimental. |
Health Insights is now free with no subscription required.
DNA Chat: Research (premium)
A Research button now appears alongside the Send button in DNA Chat. Send does a single lookup and returns a response. Research runs a multi-step pipeline:
- Extracts 10 distinct research angles from your question
- Searches your results for each angle separately, up to 100 results per angle
- Writes a focused analysis for each angle
- Produces a comprehensive, personalized answer from all 10 analyses
After a Research response, a collapsible "Researched N angles" panel shows which angles were covered and how many studies were searched for each.
Research requires a subscription.
Other changes
- The consent modal shown before the first DNA Chat message has been removed. Consent is now handled at account creation.
- The Analyze nav link no longer carries a blanket "Premium" badge. Individual reports are labeled Free or Premium.
- The home page "Try with sample data" button is more prominent. No DNA file is needed to try the app.
- Navigation on mobile is larger and easier to read.

The new Explore page is separate from the old one. It now shows your personalized result overview rather than the study search interface.
