I think given the adult issue (to be resolved) with #4, this is a good candidate for the next one rolled in. My suggestion here is to remove ycombinator as in my testing anything for Providing that is not a problem with you @bbbhltz, the final focus would be:

A small set of common sources for technology news. I did not include content mills (9to5linux) or independent sites.
I think independent technology (news sites|blogs) should have their own focus. daringfireball.net would be an example candidate for such a focus, but it would surely surpass 25 sites.
