This project launches Codex Desktop with a loopback DevTools endpoint and injects a runtime override into the renderer. That is inherently more powerful than a normal application shortcut.
- No files under
WindowsAppsare modified. - No antivirus exclusions are created.
- No credentials, API keys, cookies, or Codex session files are read.
- The tool only reads the configured model catalog and Windows package metadata.
- The DevTools endpoint is restricted to a random loopback port.
- If multiple matching model-picker configs are detected, injection stops, removes the installed script, and reloads the normal page. The first candidate may be overridden briefly while the full config list is being checked.
Do not open a public issue containing credentials, private provider URLs, model catalog contents, session data, or full logs. Redact local paths and report the Codex app version, launcher version, error category, and sanitized diagnostics.
Do not use this project to bypass provider authorization, account entitlements, workspace policy, or service-side model access controls.
