Collapse empty dashboard columns to fill width (v1.3.2)#81
Merged
Conversation
After dragging every card out of a column (e.g. consolidating a 3-column layout to 2), the empty column still reserved its flex share of the width, leaving dead space on wide screens. `.dash-col:empty` now collapses so the populated columns expand to fill the page. Reset layout restores the default multi-column spread. Verified in a headless browser at 1940px: emptied column collapses, remaining two columns fill ~99% of the dashboard width. Issue
After dragging every card out of a column (e.g. consolidating a 3-column layout down to 2), the now-empty column still reserved its
flex: 1share of the width, leaving a blank third of the page on wide screens.Fix
.dash-col:empty { display: none; }— an emptied column collapses so the populated columns expand to fill the page. Reset layout restores the default multi-column spread. One CSS rule; no JS change.Verification
Headless browser at 1940px, cards consolidated into 2 columns:
display: noneShips as 1.3.2 (CHANGELOG + banners bumped). On merge the auto-release publishes
