User Guide
Learn how to use the SourceXchange Sync Bot as a Discord server member.
Before you can use the bot, you need to:
- Have a SourceXchange account
- Link your Discord account to SourceXchange
- Purchase the product associated with the Discord role
Visit SourceXchange and log in to your account.
- Go to your account settings
- Find the Discord integration section
- Click "Connect Discord"
- Authorize SourceXchange to access your Discord information
You should see your Discord username displayed in your SourceXchange account settings.
The bot provides two main slash commands:
Shows all products you've purchased on SourceXchange.
How to use:
- Type
/productsin any channel where the bot has access - Press Enter
- The bot will display your purchased products
Example Response:

Failed to fetch products. Make sure your Discord is linked.
Checks your product purchases and grants or removes the configured role.
How to use:
- Type
/syncin any channel where the bot has access - Press Enter
- The bot will check your purchases and update your role
Success Responses:
If you own the product:
Role [Role Name] has been added!
If you don't own the product:
You don't have access to this product.
Error Responses:
Discord not linked:
Failed to sync roles. Make sure your Discord is linked.
Role not found:
Role not found in this server.
After purchasing a product on SourceXchange:
- Wait a few minutes for the purchase to process
- Run
/syncin your Discord server - You should receive the associated role automatically
If your subscription expires or access is revoked:
- The bot will remove your role next time
/syncis run
When joining a new server with the bot:
- Make sure your Discord is linked to SourceXchange
- Run
/syncto receive your role - The bot will verify your purchases and grant appropriate access
Problem: The bot can't find your SourceXchange account.
Solution:
- Visit SourceXchange
- Log in and go to account settings
- Disconnect and reconnect your Discord account
- Try
/syncagain after a few minutes
Problem: Slash commands don't appear when you type /.
Solution:
- The bot might not have proper permissions in the channel
- Ask a server administrator to check bot permissions
- Try using the command in a different channel
Problem: You purchased the product but didn't receive the role.
Solution:
- Wait 5-10 minutes for the purchase to process
- Verify your Discord is linked on SourceXchange
- Run
/syncmanually - If still not working, contact a server administrator
Problem: Your role was removed even though you still own the product.
Possible Causes:
- Your SourceXchange payment failed or subscription expired
- Your Discord account was unlinked from SourceXchange
- The bot configuration changed
Solution:
- Check your SourceXchange account status
- Verify your Discord is still linked
- Run
/syncto re-check your access - Contact the product owner if issues persist
The bot only accesses:
- Your Discord User ID
- Your SourceXchange product purchases
- Your Discord server roles
No, the bot does not store any personal data. All checks are performed in real-time through the SourceXchange API.
