INF Essential is a design intelligence reference repository for architecture, interiors, interaction design, HCI, creative technology, and AI-assisted design.
This repository is not currently a standard agent skill package. It does not expose a SKILL.md entry point yet. Its job is to collect, filter, and organize high-signal design knowledge before selected workflows are promoted into dedicated skills.
Maintenance status: rebuild in progress.
The repository previously contained only a short README. It is now being rebuilt as a structured design intelligence library with:
- Source tracking
- Weekly review workflow
- Evaluation templates
- Promotion criteria for future agent skills
INF Essential focuses on durable design intelligence rather than random inspiration.
Included:
- Architecture and spatial design research
- Interior design systems and material references
- Product, interaction, and HCI patterns
- AI-assisted design workflows
- Visual research, precedents, and critique frameworks
- Tools, datasets, and public references that can support design work
Out of scope:
- Unverified trend reposts
- Pure moodboard collections without analysis
- Private copyrighted source dumps
- Tool installation scripts
- Agent instructions that are not ready for operational use

README.md Curated source categories and collection rules

source-card.md Template for evaluating individual sources
Use this repository as a staging ground before turning design knowledge into skills.
- Add promising sources to the relevant source category.
- Review them with the weekly workflow.
- Summarize useful lessons using the source-card template.
- Promote only repeatable, high-value workflows into a dedicated
SKILL.md.
A topic is ready to become a skill when it has:
- A clear user trigger
- A repeatable design workflow
- Evidence-based checks or rubrics
- Examples that transfer across projects
- Safety and copyright boundaries
Until then, it should remain here as research material.
