Line Follower | IPS Robotics Club Project 01

2-wheeled robot capable of being remote controlled and following a line using IR sensors. Built by Robotics Club in preparation for further projects such as competition-capable combat robots.

Don't ask about the oscilloscope.

Hardware used

This project is based on the Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W, and used the VSCode Pico extension for development.

The following hardware was used in the final robot:

  • Absima SR4S RC controller/reciever
  • Cytron Maker Reflect IR sensor (x3)
  • Cytron MDD3A 2 Channel ESC
  • 540, 55T brushed motor (x2)
  • 3S LiPO battery
