Below an impression of the GUI

This useful information can be integrated with your existing workflow by using these API calls.

Have Java version 11 or above installed
Request a docker-file via my LinkedIn account To start the application using docker you need to pass the information about the database you want to use with these variables: DB_TYPE use "sqlserver" for MS-SQL or "mysql" for MariaDB or MySQL DB_ACCESS_STRING give here the complete access string for you database without the first part e.g. "jdbc:sqlserver:" Example string for an MS-SQL connection: "//DBSERVER_IP;databaseName=ILV;user=UserName;password=MySecret". Replace DBSERVER_IP with the Ip-Address of youer database server, UserName and MySecret with the actual credentials of the user that can access the database.
Currently two databases are supported:
- MS-SQL
- MariaDB
Before you can run the application, you need to create a database. To do this create a database and run the first command shown below.
If you run this application for the first time, or a database upgrade is needed, you need to run the following docker command:
docker run -p 3000:3000 --env DB_TYPE="YourDBType" --env DB_ACCESS_STRING="YourConnectionString" ilv:0.4.8 migrate
After this the application can be started with the following docker command:
docker run -p 3000:3000 --env DB_TYPE="YourDBType" --env DB_ACCESS_STRING="YourConnectionString" -v /path/on/host:/app/log ilv:0.4.8
Where:
- YourDBType is either sqlserver or mysql
- YourConnectionString is the connection for your database without the first part "jdbc:sqlserver:" or "jdbc:mysql:"
- /path/on/host is the location where you want to store the logfiles of the application
Then open your browser and goto http://localhost:port and you should see the application. Configure your network settings in such a way that the server you installed this tool on can be reach via HTTP with the port number you configured. Open necessary ports in your firewall and make sure that the server is reachable from the outside by using a DNS name.
