New Mechanics

Nucleobases - Orbs represented by the four nitrogenous bases in DNA: Adenine, Cytosine, Guanine, and Thymine. Playing one of these skill cards will link the base, providing a small bonus each turn.

Adenine - A nucleobase that applies block at the end of your turn.

Cytosine - A nucleobase that deals damage to a random enemy at the end of your turn.

Guanine - A nucleobase that provides energy at the start of your turn.

Thymine - A nucleobase that deals a small amount of damage to all enemies at the end of your turn.

Sugar and Phosphate - Necessary resources when linking bases. The Biomolecule Pool relic gives you 3 sugars and 3 phosphates at the start of each battle.

Amino Acids and the Polypeptide Chain - Whenever all orb slots are full and you attempt to link another base, the three existing bases will first convert to an amino acid that is bound to the polypeptide chain. Like bases, amino acids will activate at the end of each turn. There is no limit to the number of amino acids you can bind per battle. There are 20 possible amino acids, each with unique attributes.

Nucleosides - Cards that link bases without requiring sugar.

Nucleotides - Cards that link bases without requiring sugar or phosphate.

Fluorophore - Power that increases the effectiveness of linked bases (except Guanine).

Transposons - Cards that add a copy to your hand when played.

Amino Acids

Alanine (Ala) - Gain 1 Energy at the start of your next turn.
GCT, GCC, GCA, GCG

Arginine (Arg) - Gain 6 Block at the end of your turn.
CGT, CGC, CGA, CGG, AGA, AGG

Asparagine (Asn) - Gain 1 Dexterity at the end of your turn.
AAT, AAC

Aspartic Acid (Asp) - Persist remaining Block into the next turn.
GAT, GAC

Cysteine (Cys) - Gain 1 Strength at the end of your turn.
TGT, TGC

Glutamic Acid (Glu) - Express each of your Linked Bases (except Guanine).
GAA, GAG

Glutamine (Gln) - Add a random common card to your draw pile.
CAA, CAG

Glycine (Gly) - Apply 1 Weak to a random enemy at the end of your turn.
GGT, GGC, GGA, GGG

Histidine (His) - Remove all your debuffs at the end of your turn.
CAT, CAC

Isoleucine (Ile) - Gain 2 Thorns at the end of your turn.
ATT, ATC, ATA

Leucine (Leu) - Deal 6 damage to a random enemy at the end of your turn.
CTT, CTC, CTA, CTG, TTA, TTG

Lysine (Lys) - Gain 1 Plated Armor at the end of your turn.
AAA, AAG

Methionine (Met) - Heal 1 HP at the end of your turn.
ATG

Phenylalanine (Phe) - Add a random uncommon card to your draw pile.

Proline (Pro) - Apply 2 Vulnerable to a random enemy at the end of your turn.
CCT, CCC, CCA, CCG

Serine (Ser) - Apply 3 Poison to a random enemy at the end of your turn.
TCT, TCC, TCA, TCG, AGT, AGC

Threonine (Thr) - Gain 4 Sugars at the end of your turn.
ACT, ACC, ACA, ACG

Tryptophan (Trp) - Remove 1 Strength from a random enemy at the end of your turn.

Tyrosine (Tyr) - Gain 1 Fluorophore at the end of your turn.
TAT, TAC

Valine (Val) - Gain 4 Phosphates at the end of your turn.
