Social Vulnerability Index is a metric to measure the resilience of communties to eternal stresses such as earthquake, natural disasters, floods etc. It quantifies how social and physical factors affects a community's ability to prepare for, recover to, and recover from adverse effects. The code calculates the Social Vulnerability Indices for census tracts and neighborhoods in LA city.
