Getting started (Ubuntu)

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get -y install git
$ curl -o- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/creationix/nvm/v0.30.1/install.sh | bash
$ source ~/.bashrc
$ nvm install 0.12

Installing MongoDB

$ sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv EA312927
$ echo "deb http://repo.mongodb.org/apt/ubuntu trusty/mongodb-org/3.2 multiverse" | $ sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mongodb-org-3.2.list
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install -y mongodb-org
$ sudo service mongod start

$ nvm use 0.12
$ npm config set registry http://registry.npmjs.org/

Daemonize

$ forever start index.js
