FavorSelect - Backend Server

This is the backend server for FavorSelect, an e-commerce platform. It is built with Node.js, Express, MySQL, and integrates third-party services like AWS S3, Twilio, ElasticDB and Upstash Redis and Stripe for payment processing and social login provider Google OAuth , Facebook OAuth and Twitter OAuth.

Installation

git clone <repo_url>
cd favorselect-backend
npm install

Running the Server

npm run dev

Server runs at: http://localhost:8000 (or the port in .env)

Security Notes

• Never commit your .env file
• Rotate sensitive credentials regularly (JWT, DB, Twilio, etc.)
• Use HTTPS in production
