In case the current "[Experimenting with New Comment UI Features on Stack Overflow](https://meta.stackoverflow.com/q/433817/6309)" becomes the new norm, this patch implements the necessary changes. No need to merge it right now (July 2025): let's wait and see if said experiment sticks.
