💡 What: Optimized _decode_yenc_lines by replacing a pure-Python byte-by-byte loop with vectorized C-backed string methods (bytes.find() and bytes.translate()). Precomputed the modulo translation tables.
🎯 Why: The manual byte-by-byte iteration over the data lines was a performance bottleneck. Utilizing built-in bytes methods is highly optimized and runs significantly faster as they are backed by C.
📊 Impact: Expected ~8x speedup in yEnc decoding time.
🔬 Measurement: Verified using a separate benchmark script on 10,000 random generated data lines, dropping decoding time from ~0.29s to ~0.03s. All tests also pass cleanly.
