Installation

Download the extension files from:

  1. Open your browser and go to:

chrome://extensions

Or open:

Settings → Extensions → Manage Extensions

2.Enable Developer Mode

Turn on Developer Mode from the top-right corner.

Then click: Load unpacked

Select the downloaded extension folder.

3. You should now see SMILES Finder in your extension list.

4. You can see the Name and the Structure of any smile anywhere in the web by selecting, and enjoy the better web surfing.

How to Use

Open any webpage containing a SMILES string. Select the SMILES text with your mouse. SMILES Finder will instantly display: Molecular structure Compound information Canonical SMILES

Example:

CCO CC(=O)OC1=CC=CC=C1C(=O)O

Notes

Internet connection is required for PubChem metadata lookup. Structure rendering works directly inside the browser. Some uncommon or invalid SMILES strings may not be recognized. Follow for More Tools
