If someone pings the user a longer time before he joins next time, the respective message will not be part of the backlog.
Such messages should be treated specially to ensure the user receives them. They could maybe a) be excluded from the backlog limit (ie always shown) or b) also be sent in the server tab. (Maybe both with some lines of context)
