C-API?

Hello! I would like to switch off of Git (and by extension gitoxide) for my project flash. I was wondering if you'd take a PR for or are planning to create a C API other languages could bind against? I would totally put work into the Rust side of this, as I have a number of projects that I think Xit would be a great fit for.

I probably wouldn't merge it in the near term because it would be quite a maintenance burden for me, especially while the project is still unstable and changing a lot. I do want a C API for the project eventually though.
