AFAIK, it is not standard Windows behavior to lock down "My Documents". It sounds like you're dealing with some 3rd party software protecting the folder. Although it's a bit strange to have an installation package write to "My Documents," as that's a purely user location. Not a place installers should generally be touching. |

Question
Our program is using the "my documents" folder which are protected by windows ransomware protection. Thus, writing to this folder and subfolder is not allowed. Can i somehow enable access to that folder for my app using our wix installer? If not - how is this supposed to work, when people are not longer able to store their file in "my documents"?
