No configure file

I tried to compile jamrouter but did not succeed, because there is no configure-file.

Have I missunderstood the installlation notes

For a default configuration (which is probably not what you want):

./configure

$ cd ./jamrouter-master
$ ./configure
$ zsh: file or directory not found

I'd be grateful for any hints on that.

You need to install autoconf and automake

On a fedora system:
sudo dnf install autoconf automake

Then i had to do following on a 'jamrouter' folder:
autoreconf --install to generate proper configure file.

After that ./configure && make && make install

thanks for the input. On Ubuntu (16.4) this does not seem to work. autoconf and automake is installed.

autoreconf --install

in the jamrouter folder-gives me a

No name found, can not describe anything.

(Message was in German, I don't know if I translated correctly.)

This seems to work for me also:
From the INSTALL file:
"When building JAMRouter from git sources, switching autoconf/automake
versions, or in any other situation where 'configure' is missing or
throwing errors, it may be necessary to rebuild all of the dynamically
generated build files:

    aclocal
    autoconf
    automake
    autoheader

"
I also intalled some glibc related packages. Maybe this build needs glibc-headers, glibc-utils or glibc-static or some other missing glibc package on ubuntu.
