underline goes wrong when document.width changed

When resize the width of Safari to the size of an iPhone, underlinejs.org Demo website looks abnormal.

Also on Chrome in Windows (Version 66.0.3359.139 (Official Build) (32-bit)).
Refreshing the page at the new width does fix it.
