This issue is being filed as part of the requested PrivacyWG HR review (w3cping/privacy-request#147)
There are several areas where the text and formatting in the reviewed version (https://www.w3.org/TR/2024/WD-input-events-2-20241018/) of the spec have errors or otherwise could be clarified. Here are some examples I identified in my review:
General
- The tables are missing the typical W3C markup and formatting (compare the tables in this document with the tables in the Input Events Level 1 document.
- In general, I suggest using some markup to indicate references to technical terms (either formatting like
<code>, or links to the term's definition). For example, "Inputtypes", "beforeinput", "IME", etc
"Status of This Document" preamble
- The document says "Inputtypes", but the document doesn't define "input types" in my understanding. Should this be "Input event types"?.
Section 6.1.3
- some word is missing in "returns , unless the inputType"
Section 6.1.2 Attributes
- Theres an errant period in "transpose the last two grapheme cluster. that were entered", and "cluster" should be "clusters"
