It's confusing. Why can't you upgrade a cPanel container?

You can't elevate on an OpenVZ: cpanel/elevate#286

This suggests using the almaconvert8 command. It's suggested to follow the documentation here:

This documentation seems to suggest that cPanel is supported:

Execute the almaconvert8 list-cpanel command to list containers with cPanel installed inside, available for converting to AlmaLinux 8.

However, looking at the code cPanel seems to be in the "Forbid update if found installed package containing one of the following strings in name" list, with no explanation as to why or any offer of an alternative.
