Matrix report: relation filtering and labels

Current behavior

The matrix report allows selecting the card types displayed as rows and columns. Each cell can show (1) the number of relations between card or (2) a dot when at least one relationship exists.

UI improvements

Filter by relation type and value.

Add optional filters for relation types and corresponding values.

• When a relationship filter is applied, the matrix should only display the cards connected through the relationships matching the type/value filter.
• Example: Application uses Data Object, where uses has values Create, Read, Update, Delete. The filter allows selecting uses as type the matrix shows all cards linked via that relation. Selecting the value Create further constrains the matrix results.

Display relationship labels in cells

• Add an option to display the relationship type and value in each matrix cell as text and/or coloured symbols for each type/value (with a legend similar to the one in the portfolio reports).

Use cases

This would allow the matrix report to represent important semantic relationship information, including:

• CRUD matrices, e.g. process x data, application x data where each cell is a CRUD relation
• Interface x Application with each cell showing provider/consumer or flow direction
• Application x Organization showing Owner and User in each cell
