Original Issue in the MBac project
The crucial step is the identification of microbes on the agar plate. They will appear as a white area which starts to spread over time.
To calculate the migration speed the edges of the area have to be determined on each image to segment it and calculate the migration area over time. During the MozSprint 2018 two different approaches were developed which have to be tested. Eventually we can try a TensorFlow based script.
We can use the old test images.
