Dispatch code to NERIS incident type

I found the unpopulated csv to provide dispatch code to NERIS incident type; is there a csv populated with the NERIS types provided already? If not, where can i find that finite list.

The full list of incident types can be found here: https://api.neris.fsri.org/v1/docs#/

If you search on IncidentTypePayload and expand type > enum -- you will find the full list in NERIS incident types. The numbers in this list don't mean anything, simply a product of Swagger.

In doing this mapping, we recognize there are likely some cases where multiple dispatch types map to the same NERIS incident type (thats ok -- we know we will lose granularity to be able to compare better across departments) or a dispatch code that be fit in a couple different bins (choose the best option), or some that really struggle to map (again choose the best option). For example an alarm is unlikely to be known to be false at dispatch only known upon arrival. We don't expect mapping there - they would go toPUBSERV||ALARMS_

The goal of this is to preserve dispatch for local analysis, avoid changing how folks dispatch (not our lane) but do our best to bin so we have a better way to compare.

Thank you for the response; follow up question. The csv to upload file is rather simplistic, two columns. dispatch incident type / neris event type. So an example for us would be 69 would go as structure fire; however with providing only the two requested columns how does the granular level of populating the neris subtype, for example 69-D-1R stucture fire trapped persons - high life hazard

You can find the finite list of NERIS incident types in the following places:

NERIS Data Dictionary or Reporting Guide

Usually published by DHS/FEMA.

Look for the most recent “NERIS Data Dictionary” PDF, which includes all valid incident types and their codes.

FEMA/NFIRS to NERIS Transition Documentation

NERIS is replacing NFIRS; the conversion guides often list all NERIS types alongside their NFIRS equivalents.
