Compatibility problem with info-variable-pitch

I use info-variable-pitch to render my info pages nicely:

However, when I also use info-colors, the result gets pretty bad:

As you can see in this screenshot:

• the (use package line is now indented even though it shouldn't be;
• the last three lines are much more indented than they should be.

This screenshot was taken by looking at the "Use-package example" section of the consult info manual.
