As mentioned in #81 (comment), in 1.0b there is a "show servers that have not replied" option, but even with that one enabled, unresponsive servers disappear from the list after three failed attempts.
I was wondering whether it might be possible to add an option to actually include all servers, even after three failed attempts. One would probably not use that as an everyday setting, I guess, but it might be helpful for troubleshooting purposes.
Maybe as a third value for that setting, becoming a dropdown list instead of an on/off flag? Like "Show unresponsive servers: No/Remove after 3 timeouts/Always".
That should be made to work with all kinds of servers: coming from the master server, or from those manually added with the "green plus" button, or from "extra" files. I don't know how much the internal mechanisms of the program may make it easy or hard to implement.
PS: I don't remember... are the three timeouts just a "hide" or actually a "remove"? I mean, after the three strikes, does the game still try to probe them "behind the scenes" in the following refreshes (showing them back in case they start replying), or do you need to "get a new list" to have it try them again?
