It doesn't happen often, but a few times it happened to me to notice che program abruptly closing without saying anything, I guess crashing for whatever reason.
So, I was wondering whether it might be possible:
- To intercept crashes and open a popup window with some instructions about how to report the crash to you (like showing an error code and inviting the user to open an "issue" here specifying program version, what he was doing, etc).
-- By the way, also adding a "Provide feedback" link under the "Tools" menu, with a link to this "issues" section, may be useful.
- Saving some settings more often. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I have a feeling that some settings, such as manually added servers, or favorites (beta Jul 21 2026), are only saved to disk at program closure, living only in RAM in the meanwhile. Meaning that in case of program crash or power outage, you lose your changes. I understand in this kind of program you don't need to change settings (e.g. manually adding servers) too often, but yet there may be some way to make it more robust.
