Color becomes transparent in component instances

Describe the bug
When a text layer inside a component instance is updated, its colour stops rendering and becomes transparent.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Insert a component instance containing a text layer.
2. Update the text layer inside the instance.
3. Observe that the text colour no longer renders and becomes transparent.

Expected behavior
When updating a text layer inside a component instance, the colour should continue to render as assigned and should not become transparent.
