components need to remove themselves on clear_display/cell.remove()

Need to add the proper event bindings etc to remove all the code/ui from the dom.

Is there anyway to do this?

I can't use IPython.display.clear_output() or %clear to remove the display.
It seems there is no way to remove the output other than selecting clear output by clicking Cell -> Current Output -> Clear which is extremely frustrating.
