Set up some profiles for reading UI, or allow users to save their own, so they don't have to reconfigure settings every time they read on a different device.

Also, I can't set the color precisely here; is this a limitation of Android devices?

Good suggestion. Currently the reader settings are saved per book and not general for all books or per device. Presets sounds good and could be useful. I have not needed them yet since default settings are what I use per my reading preferences.

Regarding the color selection. That is Android specific color picker. Move the "Value" slider to right and you will increase brightness. It will be easier to select colors then. For me I always read in Sepia theme on my phone (very rare) or all my e-ink devices I use e-ink theme.

I don't get many feedback about where is Codexa used. On what devices do you use it on? Do you have any e-ink Android readers? What is your library backend? Maybe you also use BookOrbit. Codexa has native BookOrbit integration for browsing and pushing reading session progress.

I have a 10.3" boox reader and kindle aosis3, but I haven't thoroughly tested it yet. Because most of the time, using Windows 11 and Android is still more convenient.

I prefer to use device-specific reading settings and override the parameters embedded in the EPUB files themselves, as the quality of EPUBs found online varies significantly.

I haven't given much thought to the library backend; I find it quite convenient to use as it is. It supports simple uploading and reading, making it well-suited for reading in spare moments—whereas if I have plenty of time, I'm more likely to pick up one of my e-ink devices.

I'll test the e-ink devices later; I expect them to work very well.

What I mean is that it's not possible to enter specific values ​​in the color picker; if that's a limitation of Android, then it doesn't matter.

Thank you for sharing your reading habbits. I honestly wonder how Codexa looks and works on 10.3 Boox Reader. Let me know if you manage to try it out in future. I would suggest you sideload install APK on it and not use it as PWA application. My coworker had Boox Go 6 model. It uses big resoltuion on small screen. That is why I added Display Size option (Auto, Large, Larger, Largest) so you can increase size of the library page. I am guessing you will need to do the same on 10.3" device. I have two e-ink Android devices at home. Inkpalm Plus 5 (my son uses it) which has very old Anroid and old Webview (Codex supports it fully) and Boox Palma 2 which is a great device and I use it every night to read before bed. Codexa is installed on both using APK so hardware volume keys work to navigate, but I noticed that me and my son usualy just tap the bottom part of screen to move to next page (Vertical Tap Zones option in reader settings).

I had some time and Presets are now implemented. I done a lot of testing and I think they are working great. You can always save as new, update existing one, rename it or delete it. Switching between them is just a matter of a tap/click. I have also done a lot of offline testing. If you are offline you can't switch themes as they are stored per user in backend. Found some other offline bugs. All are now fixed.

I have pushed new changes to Git. Wait until the docker images are build and then use the ghcr.io/thehijacker/codexa:dev image to pull it. You can also test the China locales. Let me know if this is what you had in mind. I can now easily switch between different fonts and themes using presets. If there are no other major bugs I will push new version sometime next week.

Boox note x3 pro: Excellent in apk mode.

In auto mode, it like a tablet. And in larger mode, it like a phone.

I've already deployed the latest image; it's more convenient to take screenshots using the English interface.

I'll try out more when I have time, and I'm happy to help with anything else you need tested.

It looks great! Very big screen.

I am still testing Presets on my side and found some issues. I currently save last preset and use it in all devices. I have fixed it to be used per last device. Will push new changes soon.

Edit: New dev docker image is building. Can you repull it in around 15 minutes and test the presets on different devices. I create three for me. One for desktop reading, mobile reading and e-ink reading. Each one has different settings.
