Spanish characters not handled correctly in path names

Reproduce

1. Create a path
2. In the name use an accented character, e.g. á, é, í, ó
3. Save
4. Look at the saved path name

Additional Information
Shows correctly when edited again, but reverts back to broken state upon reload

Same for Polish symbols. Works fine on the map if you edit, exit the editor, and never reenter it again, but opening the location editor breaks it immediately.
