Summary
Translate BAOSP documentation and in-app strings into other languages.
Why it matters
All BAOSP documentation is currently English only. Users whose first language is not English face a higher barrier — especially blind users who depend on documentation to set up their phone.
Priority languages
Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Arabic — chosen by speaker population among blind users globally.
What can be translated
README.mdin each repo (start with baosp/README.md)CONTRIBUTING.mdres/values/strings.xmlin each app)How to contribute
translationand the language name in the title (e.g. "Spanish translation — README.md")README.es.md(orres/values-es/strings.xmlfor in-app strings)You do not need to translate everything at once. A partial README translation is already useful.
