Unable to download any Rumble channels

I added multiple Rumble channels, and absolutely no videso are found, not even the channel name gets loaded.

This looks like a bug in how we initialize yt-dlp when adding non-YouTube channels. The channel info lookup was applying YouTube-specific options (PO token authentication, player client settings, JS runtimes) to all platforms regardless, which likely caused yt-dlp's Rumble extractor to fail or return bad data.

Fixed in v1.7.39 - the platform is now passed through correctly so Rumble channels get a clean set of yt-dlp options without YouTube-specific config.

Could you try removing and re-adding one of your Rumble channels after updating? The initial add is where the fix applies, so existing broken channels would need to be re-added.

Completely removed all my Rumble channel and tried to add again, and it still says Unknown with 0 videos after a scan

Found the actual issue - when adding non-YouTube channels, the metadata extraction was using a YouTube-specific optimization (playlist_items: "0") that doesn't work for Rumble. YouTube's extractor returns channel name/ID even with zero video entries, but Rumble's needs at least one entry to derive that metadata from.

Fixed in v1.8.3. Remove your Rumble channels and re-add them - the name and video count should populate correctly now.
