Effect of nonfrenchspacing hardly visible with stix2

This is a subjective opinion but I feel default behaviour (\nonfrenchspacing) show little in pdf output. I wanted to give example

\documentclass{article}

\usepackage{stix2}
\usepackage{lipsum}

\begin{document}
\lipsum[1-2]

Bon ça va à peu près finalement.


\end{document}

but this is not typical of what I saw typically in a paper using stix2 I am working on and can't paste here.

I feel the spacing after punctuation could be wider. Very subjective opinion. Feel free to dismiss ;-)
