Personal Statement
While writing the SIP for Authentication Protocol it became clear that a lot of knowledge about identity on stacks is buried in code. I would like to change that. During the residency, I would like to be the point of contact for any questions about identity on stacks/bitcoin. I would create material for developers and users to use and understand profiles and authentication using their private keys. The audience would be stacks and bitcoin users and developers.
End Product
- SIPs and articles around authentication.
- Proof of concept and pull requests for wallet integrations and for integrating authentication in apps.
- Clarity code for profiles and identities where needed.
- History of communications in the community around identity
All this would be hosted in one place (to be defined) that is accessible and open for more contributors.
Roadmap
- Login with NFTs - 2 weeks
- Write or review feasibility study WalletConnect 2.0 on Stacks - 4 weeks
- Help to upgrade Hiro Wallet to Auth Protocol 2.0.0 - 2 months
- Specification for agreeing on transport between application and authenticator - 2 months
- Specification for using hard wallets during authentication - 2 months
Appendix
Previous work:
- Pull request to fix the wallet-sdk supporting more usernames
