Hi, I’m Carlos Moreira, a long-time contributor to the WordPress Portuguese and European community.

Since 2019, I’ve been deeply involved in organizing, volunteering, speaking, and translating — all to help WordPress grow and stay accessible.

Like many contributors, I’ve donated hundreds of hours voluntarily and traveled at my own costs. A small sponsorship could help fund a meaningful, consistent and sustainable contribution.

I'm looking to gather a maximum of $1000/month on a sponsorship, for the period of September 2025 - June 2026.

My plan for September 2025 – June 2026, for which I’m looking for help:

  • Organize WordPress Day for E-Commerce (Already approved, Porto, November 2025)
  • Organize WordCamp Porto 2025 (Already approved, May 2026)
  • Organize WordCamp Europe 2026 (Subject to approval, Kraków, June 2026)
  • Attend and potentially speak if selected at WordCamp Galicia 2025 (October 2025)
  • Attend and potentially speak if selected at WordCamp Pisa 2025 (November 2025)
  • Co-host Porto WordPress Meetups
  • Apply to be a WordCamp Mentor

In addition, I can:

  • Translate key WordPress plugins and themes
  • Support onboarding new contributors

Your contribution would cover my invested time and travel costs.
