Bluetooth not working - DBv2

ECU: Dropbear V2 202501.4
Issue: Bluetooth connection to TunerStudio (or other tuning apps i.e MSDroid) does not work.

Steps taken so far:

• Joined Airbear to home wifi & set to Bluetooth mode via web admin.
• Successfully paired Airbear to tuning laptop, and android phone via bluetooth - had to remove from Dropbear V2 and power by USB to do this, as it was not visible when installed in ECU.
• After pairing, installed Airbear to ECU again & powered via vehicle 12V (also tried with USB cable on bench away from vehicle).
• ECU is not visible in Tunerstudio, or any other tuning app, even after Airbear is already paired to laptop.

ESP32C3 is bluetooth BLE, not compatible with tunerstudio

How do we wirelessly connect to the Dropbear with Tunerstudio? On the v0.3 board it was quite simple with the HC-xx addon described here.
Is our only option now to use a wifi connection, or is there an alternative plug-in board that can be fitted in place of the Airbear?
