Lack of functioning support options #699

I’ve been looking for a way to communicate with session technical support members or report bugs and issues. Through the app “help” section, you are taken to getsession.org’s support page. From here, I discovered that regardless of which of the many paths you take, there are essentially three options for Support. Two of these are broken, and the third is limiting.

  1. Join the session community message group in the app. Most of the links and QR codes for this community on the Session website are broken or dead. I did finally manage to join the session community, which is amazingly difficult to do for some reason, only to discover that I do not have write permission so I can only look at the community chat. I cannot participate.

  1. Create a ticket in the help center. This is a Zenn desk service, and so you must create an account to use it, no big deal. Except that when you create the account and try to login, the webpage is broken and says that there’s nothing here. Multiple browsers and clearing cookies and site data doesn’t help. Logging into oxen.zenndesk seems to be a very dead end.

  1. GitHub issue. I consider myself much more tech savvy and capable than most people and even I don’t use GitHub. The majority of people who are seeking assistance with an app aren’t going to post here.
