In EGA I, 4.1.8, in the English translation currently a footnote is added explaining that there is no English translation for 'majoré', so the French word is kept. In Görtz, Wedhorn, Algebraic Geometry I, 2nd ed., Definition 3.46, they use the verb 'to majorize', so this could be an English translation. There seems to be other people using this terminology in math, see here and references therein.
